Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to oversee and support the daily operations within our childcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and working with children. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, create a nurturing environment, and contribute positively to children's development. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, safety, and learning within the nursery or childcare environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise a team of early childhood practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education.
Plan, organise, and implement engaging activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to childcare standards.
Monitor the wellbeing of children, recognising any safeguarding concerns promptly.
Drive organisational initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care provided.

Requirements

Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or nursery environments.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
Experience working with children with diverse needs is advantageous.
Passionate about early childhood development with a caring and nurturing approach.
Organised with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
