About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Buckinghamshire. This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed, or is currently working towards, a degree in Quantity Surveying and is looking to develop their commercial career within a leading infrastructure and construction business.

Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you will support the successful delivery of projects by helping to manage costs, maximise value and maintain strong relationships with our supply chain partners. You will gain hands-on exposure to all aspects of quantity surveying while receiving the support and development needed to progress towards professional membership.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the measurement, recording and valuation of works.
Gathering and researching construction cost information.
Supporting the preparation of cost reconciliation statements and cost/value reporting.
Helping to collate and manage commercial and project information using company ERP and digital systems.
Assisting with procurement activities, including collecting and recording information required for subcontractor engagement.
Supporting the management of subcontractor accounts and agreements.
Contributing to weekly and monthly project programmes and understanding different programme formats.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting commercial governance requirements

Who we're looking for

BSc in Quantity Surveying or currently working towards completion of a Quantity Surveying degree.
Experience in a similar role.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop.
Ambition to achieve professional membership.
