Full job description

We're Hiring – Office Admin Assistant

G McFadden Civil Engineers Ltd

We're looking for a reliable, organised and motivated person to join our growing team and support the day-to-day running of our busy office.

Main duties include:

Assisting our Buyer with day-to-day purchasing administration.
Managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
Organising and maintaining office systems and paperwork. Ensuring the office environment remains tidy and organised at all times.
Keeping on top of vehicle and plant records, including MOTs, servicing, tax, calibrations, inspections and plant certification, ensuring everything remains up to date.
Chasing and filing paperwork from site for audits and compliance.
Assisting the Accounts team with filing and general administration when required.
Providing general administrative support across the business.
Handling general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and distributing mail
Carrying out other ad hoc office duties as required.

We're looking for someone who:

Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Can prioritise their workload and work independently.
Has good communication skills.
Is confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)- Knowledge of sage would also be beneficial.
Enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Previous office administration experience within civil engineering, construction or plant hire industry is preferred, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong organisational skills are just as important.

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Nuneaton, Warwickshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
