Full job description

JOB TITLE: Experienced Furniture Sprayer / Polisher

LOCATION: Bradford

WORKING HOURS: 7am - 5.15pm, Monday - Thursday. 39 hours

We're looking for an experienced Experienced Furniture Sprayer / Polisher to join our manufacturing team in Bradford. This is an opportunity to work a 4-day week, producing high-quality contract furniture used across healthcare, hospitality, care homes and specialist environments.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in furniture finishing and be confident working to a high standard across a range of furniture and materials.

What you'll be doing

Prepare furniture surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and masking areas as needed before applying finishes.
Mix and match paints, stains, lacquers, or varnishes to achieve desired color and finish effects.
Operate spray guns, brushes, polishing machines, and other hand or power tools safely and efficiently.
Apply multiple coats of finish with precision, ensuring even coverage and optimal adhesion.
Polish finished furniture to enhance appearance and smoothness using appropriate techniques and tools.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a furniture sprayer or polisher with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Experience within a furniture manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
Mechanical knowledge of spray equipment, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand construction painting processes.
Familiarity with assembly processes and the use of basic math for measurements and calculations
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and craftsmanship skills.
