Position: Head Chef
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 plus tronc (£48,000 - £52,000 total)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Head Chef to run the kitchen in our restaurant in the centre of Ilkley. The perfect candidate is someone who cares about the guest experience from start to finish, someone who loves working for a growing company and can keep our high standards alongside achieving targets set by the company.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management to ensure the delivery of exceptional quality dishes. Your leadership will inspire creativity, uphold food safety standards, and foster a vibrant, collaborative kitchen environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food production
Lead and motivate the culinary team, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and service excellence
Oversee all food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment
Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimize kitchen efficiency
Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends while maintaining consistency and quality
Train staff on food presentation, serving procedures, and hospitality best practices
Collaborate with management to plan staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak times

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive food production and culinary experience with a strong focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively
Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations within the hospitality industry
Previous kitchen experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or similar setting
Knowledge of hospitality service standards including serving procedures and customer interaction skills
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and a passion for culinary excellence

Pay: £48,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
