Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Turret Punch Setter Operator to join our manufacturing team a fork lift truck licence would be a advantage,hours of work 14:00 till 21:45.The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating turret punch presses to produce precise sheet metal components. This role requires a good understanding of fabrication processes, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sheet metal work and mechanical skills to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and adjust turret punch machines according to specifications and production requirements
Operate turret punch presses efficiently while maintaining safety standards
Monitor machine operation during production runs, making adjustments as necessary
Perform routine maintenance, including grinding and tooling changes, to ensure optimal machine performance
Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
Assist with assembly processes when required, supporting overall production flow
Keep detailed records of machine settings, adjustments, and production data for quality control purposes

Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or similar manufacturing roles
Knowledge of grinding, welding, and mechanical systems is advantageous
Familiarity with hand tools and tooling used in metalworking environments
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and handling techniques
Ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions accurately
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality assurance
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
