Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of chef.This position involves working within a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to meal preparation, food safety, and delivering excellent service. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in culinary arts and possess relevant experience in food preparation and restaurant settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their skills in a professional kitchen while providing high-quality dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assisting with food preparation and cooking tasks to ensure timely delivery of meals
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all processes
Supporting the team with meal assembly and presentation according to established recipes and standards
Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
Assisting with stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
Serving meals to customers in a courteous and efficient manner when required
Following all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for staff and customers

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Experience with meal preparation, including handling various ingredients and cooking techniques
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving customers when necessary
Practical understanding of kitchen equipment usage and maintenance is advantageous

This role is suitable for individuals passionate about culinary arts who are eager to learn and grow within a professional setting. Applicants should demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This role could suit part time or full time
