Full job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Guard/Door Supervisor, where your vigilance and proactive approach will ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, overseeing crowd control, and maintaining a secure atmosphere through vigilant surveillance and quick response to incidents. Your energetic presence and commitment to safety will help foster a positive experience for visitors, staff, and contractors alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your security skills while making a tangible difference in the safety of our community.

Duties

Manage entry and exit points by verifying identification and authorizing access for employees, visitors, and contractors

Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary
Respond promptly to emergencies by administering first aid when required and coordinating with emergency responders
Enforce site policies through effective crowd control and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance documentation accurately and promptly
Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify vulnerabilities or safety hazards

Skills

Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems effectively
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to deter theft and unauthorized access
Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations, including administering first aid when needed
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during visual inspections and surveillance tours
Clear communication skills for interacting confidently with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel
Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness
Basic understanding of security protocols, crowd management, and emergency response procedures
