Day Service Manager Canterbury

Make a real difference, every single day.

Were looking for an experienced and passionate Day Service Manager to lead a dedicated team supporting autistic individuals to live active, fulfilled, and meaningful lives.

Location

Canterbury just a short walk from the city centre

Salary

£33,000 per year

Hours

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Includes on-call responsibility

About the Role

As Day Service Manager, youll play a key leadership role in shaping a vibrant and engaging service. No two days are the samefrom coastal trips and swimming to exciting outings like day trips to London.

Youll be at the heart of delivering high-quality, person-centred support, while empowering your team to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated support team
Deliver and maintain outstanding, person-centred care
Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with safeguarding and care standards
Drive continuous improvement across the service

What Were Looking For

5+ years leadership experience within a care setting
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
A hands-on, proactive leadership style
A genuine passion for supporting autistic individuals
Commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes

About You

Were looking for a confident, visible leader who can inspire and develop a specialist care team. You will have:

At least 5 years experience coaching and leading care teams, with a focus on practice leadership
The ability to respond quickly and effectively to challenges, ensuring safety and positive risk management
Strong knowledge and experience of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Act, Health and Social Care Act, safeguarding, DoLS, MCA, capacity, and best interest processes
Ideally, a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
