Full job description

At Dunchurch Park Estates, we're committed to creating a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment for everyone on site. We're looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Duty Manager to join our team and play a key role in the day-to-day running of our catering operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll support the catering team, oversee food service throughout your shift, and help ensure our guests receive a consistently high standard of service in a well-organised, safe and welcoming environment.

What you'll be doing

As a Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth operation of the catering department during your shift. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and supporting the catering team throughout the day.
Overseeing the delivery of breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
Receiving deliveries and ensuring stock is handled appropriately.
Monitoring the kitchen and service areas to ensure they are clean, organised and operating efficiently.
Carrying out regular site walk-rounds to identify and address any housekeeping or health and safety issues.
Communicating effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Working with the Operations Manager to report maintenance issues and help keep equipment in good working order.
Completing thorough shift handovers to ensure continuity between teams.
Taking ownership of designated operational areas and maintaining high standards at all times.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who brings positive energy, strong leadership skills and a proactive approach. Ideally, you'll have:

Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality, catering or a similar customer-focused environment.
The ability to motivate and support a team while remaining calm under pressure.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A practical, hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail.
Flexibility to work a rota that includes weekends, bank holidays and, where required, night shifts.
