Salary & BenefitsYour Earnings

Hourly Rate: £13.75

Sleep-in Allowance: £45 per sleep

Annual Salary

Basic Salary

40 hours per week
£28,600 per annum

Sleep Payments

Approximately 10 sleep-ins per month
Paid over 11 months
£4,950 per annum

Expected Annual Earnings£33,550 per year

(plus overtime opportunities and additional sleep-ins)

Your Role

As a Residential Children's Care Worker you will:

Build trusting relationships with children and young people.
Provide therapeutic, nurturing day-to-day care.
Support education, hobbies, independence and life skills.
Encourage positive behaviour through trauma-informed approaches.
Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
Complete high-quality daily recordings and reports.
Work alongside families, schools, therapists and professionals.
Support young people to attend appointments and activities.
Be a positive role model every single day.
Work a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

About You

Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team.

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to complete it.
Experience supporting children and young people.
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Experience

Children's residential care experience.
Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Therapeutic or trauma-informed practice.
Medication administration.
Shift leading experience.
Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
