Josh’s Care Company is proud to have received a Good rating across Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive, with Outstanding leadership (Well-led) in our most recent CQC inspection.

The Role: Complex Care Support Worker
Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour, increasing to £14.50 per hour once competent.
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Please note, we provide 24 hour around the clock care so they will include 12 hour shifts and will include days, waking nights, sleeping nights and alternative weekends.

Contract Type: Permanent with immediate start available.

We offer the below contracts:

Part Time – 24-hour contract

Shift Pattern –
Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shifts include a combination of days and nights.

DBS: Preferred / update service desirable

Driver with access to a vehicle: Preferred.

Right to Work: The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Our team of skilled professionals offers around-the-clock specialised care for people with spinal cord injuries and other complex needs, and we are now looking for like-minded professionals to join us in providing top-quality care that truly makes a difference.
It's important to note that we recruit with a person-centred approach, meaning successful candidates will primarily work on one of our packages based in a single location. However, there is also the potential to work across various packages within the area.

The People in Huddersfield:

Are you ready to make a genuine difference in a person’s life?

You will be supporting a gentleman in his 50’s with a complex spinal cord injury.
You will work with tracheostomies, peg feeds, catheters and cough assistance.
Other duties will include moving and handling, manual bowel care, personal care, pressure care and administering medication.
He has two cats and comes from a close family, who are an important part of his life.
They really do look forward to meeting their new carers and can’t wait to introduce themselves if you successfully progress to the meet and greet stage!
You will play an important role in supporting him to achieve the best possible quality of life by providing compassionate, person-centred care. He is very much looking forward to meeting his new support worker.

Training:

At Josh's Care Company, we are dedicated to equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary to become compliant in all areas of specialised care, from tracheostomy and ventilator management to postural and respiratory care, as well as PEG feeding.

Our nurses have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of nursing and care which will ensure that you receive the highest standard of training and support possible.

We are seeking highly motivated professionals with a caring demeanour, excellent communication skills, and previous care experience, with knowledge of complex care being an added advantage. A current DBS if possible (paper or update service).
