Receptionist – Mytton Fold Hotel

Location: Mytton Fold Hotel, Langho, Lancashire
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (including evenings and weekends)

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at Mytton Fold Hotel. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a warm welcome and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Check guests in and out efficiently using the hotel's property management system.
Answer telephone calls and respond to email enquiries promptly and professionally.
Handle reservations, amendments, and cancellations.
Process payments and maintain accurate guest records.
Provide guests with information about the hotel, local attractions, and services.
Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and other departments to ensure excellent guest service.
Resolve guest queries and complaints calmly and professionally, escalating where necessary.
Carry out daily reception administration and cash handling duties.
Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
