Job Summary

In this energetic role, you will actively engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions to enhance their purchase or hire decisions. Position: Sales Assistant

Location: Showtec Ltd – Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex

Job Type: Full-Time

Days: 5 days a week including Saturdays - Sundays & either Tues/Weds/Thurs off

Hours: 9am to 5pm Weekdays, 9am to 4pm Saturdays. Overtime available

Rate of Pay: £13 to £15 per hour depending on experience. Paid weekly

About Us: We are a professional installer and retailer of sound, lighting and visual equipment. From large scale installations to small dry hires, we cater to many different customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Showroom Sales: Assist customers in-store and on the phone, providing product recommendations and answering queries related to equipment and accessories. Training in products and sales techniques provided.
Emails: Handle incoming emails promptly and professionally. Respond to customer inquiries, provide support, and manage email communications.
Online Shop: Maintain and update our online shop, including uploading new products, managing product descriptions, and ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Order Processing: Process online and in store orders, including packing and shipping products, and ensuring timely delivery to customers.
Equipment Hires: Manage the rental of DJ equipment. This includes coordinating with customers, scheduling rentals, and ensuring equipment is in good condition before and after hires. Full training provided.
Inventory Management: Assist with stock management, including restocking the showroom, conducting inventory checks, and reporting low stock levels.
Social Media: Help with posting and dealing with messages on social platforms.
Sales Generation: Assist other members of the sales team with creating potential customer lists.
General Showroom Duties: Maintain a clean and organised showroom environment, assist with merchandising, and perform other tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly and helpful character.
Sales experience (phone and face to face).
Knowledge of sound & lighting equipment (preferred but not essential)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Proficient in using email and basic computer applications.
Experience with online retail platforms is a plus.
Experience with social media platforms.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
