Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team as a live-in staff member. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality environment, providing exceptional service to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about catering, serving, and hospitality, who are eager to develop their skills in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
Support catering functions by setting up event spaces, serving guests, and clearing tables efficiently.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all operations.
Handle barista duties if required, including preparing coffee and other beverages with attention to quality.
Ensure the dining area is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly.
Support the team during busy periods and assist with general duties around the premises to ensure smooth operations.

Experience

Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Experience in serving or restaurant work will be advantageous.
Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred but can be learned on the job.
A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills is essential.
Prior experience in food preparation or hospitality roles will help in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
