Housekeeper – Oulton Manor, Leeds. £13.45 per hour 36.6 hours per week

At Oulton Manor, our luxury care home in the heart of Oulton, Leeds, we are passionate about creating a warm, welcoming and impeccably maintained environment for our residents. Providing exceptional residential and dementia care, Oulton Manor combines outstanding facilities, beautifully landscaped gardens and a dedicated team committed to helping residents live well every day. Oulton Manor offers residential and dementia care in a premium environment with spacious en-suite bedrooms, elegant communal areas, a café bar, hair and beauty salon, and stunning gardens.

We are now looking for a Housekeeper to join our friendly team.

About the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our home remains clean, safe and welcoming for residents, visitors and colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring resident bedrooms, communal areas and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Creating a pleasant, comfortable and safe environment for residents and visitors.
Using cleaning products and equipment correctly and safely, following company policies and COSHH guidance.
Carrying out daily, weekly and deep cleaning schedules.
Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or concerns promptly.
Supporting infection prevention and control standards.
Working closely with colleagues across the home to deliver an outstanding resident experience.
Promoting residents' dignity, privacy and independence at all times.

About you

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys making a positive difference to the lives of older people.

Required knowledge and experience

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment, including carpet cleaners.
Experience of using cleaning products safely and effectively.
Understanding of data protection, confidentiality and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Awareness of workplace health and safety requirements, including COSHH.

Required skills

Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Friendly, approachable and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to prioritise workloads and adapt to the needs of residents.
High standards of attention to detail and cleanliness.
