About us

More about the role

This is a newly created role within our People team, designed to support the development of self-service knowledge, clear guidance and the successful delivery of People projects across the business. The role combines knowledge management with project support, creating practical resources that help colleagues find the information they need while providing flexible support across a variety of People initiatives.

No two weeks will look the same. You'll turn policies, processes and project content into clear, user-friendly guidance, while supporting the delivery of projects by taking ownership of specific tasks and deliverables. Working closely with colleagues across the People team and the wider business, you'll gain broad exposure to different areas of People and play an important role in improving the way we work.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is highly organised and proactive, and is looking to build experience across People, operations and project management while helping shape a brand-new role.

So, what will you be doing?

Supporting People team projects by producing the deliverables they need, such as guides, documents, templates and content, rather than running the projects themselves.
Picking up specific pieces of work within a project and see them through to a finished, usable output.
Supporting the rollout of new tools, policies and processes with clear supporting materials and simple user guidance.
Being a flexible pair of hands for the team, taking on a variety of tasks and one-off pieces of work as priorities change.
Drafting clear internal comms and templates for People initiatives when needed.
Helping keep the People area of the intranet current, well laid out and easy to navigate.
Lending a hand on culture and engagement activity, for example event comms or campaign materials.
Working closely with People team specialists to gather source material and get sign-off on your work.
Keeping a clear view of what's published, what's in progress and what needs updating.
Bringing a continuous-improvement mindset to how we create, organise and share knowledge.
Writing and maintaining knowledge base articles, how-to guides and FAQs so employees and managers can find answers themselves.
Turning policies, processes and project material into clear, plain-English content with a consistent style and structure.
Taking the time to understand how our tools and processes actually work so you can document them accurately and write guidance people can follow step by step.
Keeping our knowledge base organised, tagged and up to date, flagging content that's out of date or duplicated
Building and maintaining templates that the wider team can reuse (guides, checklists, one-pagers.

And what will you need?

Excellent written English, with the ability to take something complex and explain it simply and clearly for a non-specialist audience.
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with people at all levels and building trust quickly.
Strong organisation and attention to detail; comfortable juggling several different pieces of work at once and re-prioritising as things change.
A logical, process-minded way of thinking: able to understand how a task or workflow actually works end to end, spot where it breaks down, and document or explain it clearly.
Confident with everyday tools such as Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, and genuinely comfortable learning how new systems work (intranet, knowledge base, HR and comms tools) rather than just using them at surface level.
A proactive, self-starting attitude and the confidence to ask questions, chase input and figure things out.
Adaptable and happy to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks in support of the team.

Desirable:

Transferable experience from any setting where you've written for others, managed relationships, coordinated work or projects, mapped or improved a process, or turned messy information into something clear and usable.
Experience working with business systems or platforms, understanding how they fit together, or helping others adopt a new tool or process.
Familiarity with intranet or knowledge base platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, a service-desk knowledge base).
Basic design sense and comfort using templates to produce clean, professional-looking materials.
Awareness of accessibility and inclusive-language good practice.
