Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Off Licence Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused approach will help create an inviting shopping experience for our diverse clientele. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sale of alcoholic beverages in compliance with legal regulations, ensuring the store remains well-organized and fully stocked. Your engaging communication skills and multilingual abilities will enable you to connect with a broad range of customers, providing exceptional service while maintaining a safe and responsible environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail and merchandising skills in a lively, fast-paced setting.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting alcoholic beverages, upselling products to enhance their shopping experience
Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age and ensure compliance with licensing laws
Maintain accurate stock levels through effective merchandising, restocking shelves, and organizing displays to attract customer attention
Provide clear information about products, promotions, and store policies using excellent communication skills in multiple languages including English and Spanish
Handle transactions efficiently at the checkout, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
Manage time effectively to ensure shelves are replenished promptly during busy periods and store cleanliness is maintained
Uphold phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring professional and friendly interactions

Requirements

Multilingual skills with proficiency in English and Spanish; bilingual ability is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills to manage stock, displays, and store layout effectively
Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers confidently
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory counts
Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing product displays
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours and ensure smooth store operations
