Business Lead Generation Executive
Hybrid/Office Role | AI Prospecting | Inbound Leads | Telemarketing | Self-Generated New Business
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum
Bonus: Up to £6,000 per annum, paid monthly against agreed targets
OTE: Up to £51,000 per annum
Want to help build the next generation of business development?
Cleanology is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Business Lead Generation Executive to join our growing Sales and Growth team.
This isn't a traditional telemarketing role.
We're looking for someone who can combine AI, digital prospecting, inbound lead management, LinkedIn, market intelligence and good old-fashioned telephone sales to identify opportunities and open doors with potential clients.
You will play a key role at the very front of our sales pipeline — finding the organisations we want to work with, identifying the right decision-makers, understanding when contracts are likely to come to market and turning that intelligence into genuine qualified opportunities.
This is a hybrid position for somebody who enjoys using technology and data but is equally comfortable picking up the phone and creating an opportunity from nothing.
The Package
- £40,000–£45,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
- Up to £6,000 annual performance bonus.
- Bonus paid monthly, up to £500 per month, based on achievement against agreed targets.
- OTE up to £51,000 per annum.
- Hybrid/Office working.
- Direct exposure to Cleanology's senior Growth, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Opportunity to help shape our use of AI and technology within business development.
What You'll Be Doing
AI & Intelligent Prospecting - You'll use modern technology and AI to make prospecting smarter and more targeted.
This will include:
- Using AI tools to research organisations, sectors, prospects and decision-makers.
- Identifying potential contract opportunities and trigger events.
- Building targeted prospect lists and account intelligence.
- Using data to identify where the strongest opportunities are likely to exist.
- Developing personalised approaches to target prospects.
- Combining AI research with human judgement and direct engagement.
- Helping us continually improve how technology is used across our lead-generation activity.
AI should make you more effective not replace the conversation.
Self-Generated New Business - A major part of this role is creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
You will:
- Research and identify target organisations.
- Find the relevant Facilities, Property, Procurement and senior decision-makers.
- Make targeted outbound calls.
- Introduce Cleanology and establish potential requirements.
- Identify contract renewal and procurement dates.
- Re-engage previous prospects and dormant opportunities.
- Develop relationships over time rather than relying on one-off calls.
- Secure qualified appointments for our Business Development team.
We want someone who gets satisfaction from turning a cold prospect into a genuine commercial conversation.
Inbound Lead Management - You'll take ownership of new business enquiries coming into Cleanology.
That means:
- Responding quickly to website and digital enquiries.
- Qualifying the opportunity properly.
- Understanding the client's requirements, timescales and potential contract value.
- Following up proactively.
- Allocating qualified opportunities to the appropriate salesperson.
- Tracking every lead through to a clear outcome.
No good lead should ever be lost through lack of follow-up.
LinkedIn & Digital Prospecting - You'll use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and digital prospecting to:
- Identify target decision-makers.
- Build stakeholder maps within key organisations.
- Develop targeted connections.
- Engage prospects with relevant messages and content.
- Identify people engaging with Cleanology's content.
- Nurture relationships until the timing is right for a commercial conversation.
- Work with Marketing on targeted sector campaigns.
Market & Tender Intelligence - You'll help us understand where the next opportunities are coming from by researching:
- Contract renewal dates and previous tender activity.
- Procurement routes.
- Managing agents and property portfolios.
- Public and private sector opportunities.
- Competitor wins and losses.
- Target sectors and geographical opportunities.
- Organisations entering the market or reviewing their FM arrangements.
The objective is simple: identify opportunities before everybody else does.
Salesforce, Data & Pipeline - You'll take an active role in maintaining accurate sales information within Salesforce, ensuring:
- Leads and opportunities are properly recorded.
- Contacts and decision-makers are accurate.
- Opportunity values, stages and next actions are current.
- Prospecting activity is visible.
- Lead sources and conversion rates can be measured.
- Pipeline reporting is accurate.
You'll work closely with the Chief Growth Officer, Business Development and Marketing teams, providing insight into what's working and where we should focus next.
What Success Looks Like
This is a results focused position, with performance and monthly bonus linked to clearly agreed objectives.
Success will be measured through:
- Qualified new business opportunities generated.
- Qualified appointments secured.
- Value of pipeline created.
- Self-generated opportunities.
- Inbound lead conversion.
- Outbound prospecting effectiveness.
- LinkedIn-generated opportunities.
- Dormant opportunities successfully reactivated.
- Lead-to-opportunity conversion.
- Quality and accuracy of CRM information.
- Contribution to Cleanology's overall growth pipeline.
It's not simply about the number of calls you make.
It's about the quality and commercial value of the opportunities you create.
Who We're Looking For
You might currently work in:
Lead Generation | Internal Sales | Business Development | Telemarketing | Appointment Setting | Sales Development | Digital Prospecting | B2B Sales
You'll ideally be:
- Confident speaking with senior decision-makers.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and opening new conversations.
- Persistent without being pushy.
- Naturally curious and good at research.
- Target-driven and commercially focused.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Familiar with LinkedIn and Sales Navigator.
- Interested in AI and how it can improve sales prospecting.
- Organised and disciplined with follow-up.
- Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
- Able to turn research and information into action.
Experience within facilities management, cleaning, property or outsourced services would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
Why This Role Is Different
We don't want somebody sitting with a database simply making hundreds of untargeted calls.
We want someone who can think.
- Research the account.
- Use AI.
- Understand the organisation.
- Find the right person.
- Identify the opportunity.
- Make the call.
- Start the conversation.
- Create the lead.
- Follow it through.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how Cleanology develops its approach to AI, enabled business development, digital prospecting and intelligent lead generation as we continue to grow.
