Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall operation of the restaurant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food and a desire to develop their culinary expertise within a professional environment.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stations to ensure smooth service flow
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control to minimise waste
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests
Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety regulations
Support junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance and training where appropriate
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary trends
Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer service

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
