Full job description

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing installations from start to finish, leading a team consisting of an apprentice and a junior joiner while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll still be on the tools while taking ownership of each project.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a small installation team on site.
Carry out high-quality first and second fix joinery.
Read and work from technical drawings.
Ensure projects are completed on time and to an exceptional standard.
Train and develop apprentices and less experienced team members.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised site.
Communicate professionally with customers throughout the build.
Identify and solve problems independently.
Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are looked after.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Minimum 5 years’ joinery/carpentry experience.
Experience leading or supervising a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work away from home occasionally when required.
Pride in producing outstanding workmanship.

Desirable:

Experience building garden rooms, timber frame structures or extensions.
Experience installing composite cladding, doors, windows and roofing systems.
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (not essential).
First Aid qualification.
