Assistant / Trainee Underfloor Heating Installer

Location: Essex, London, Kent, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk.

UFH EXPERTS LTD is a specialist underfloor heating installation company based in Little Totham, Essex. We work with leading house builders, developers, contractors, and private clients, delivering high-quality underfloor heating systems across Essex, London, Kent, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk.

Over 25 years. we have built our reputation on reliability, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. Every installation is completed to a high standard, and we take pride in leaving every site organised, safe, clean and professional.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant / Trainee Underfloor Heating Installer to join our team and develop into a Underfloor Heating Installer.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the plumbing and heating industry.

Working alongside experienced installers, you will learn every aspect of underfloor heating installation while assisting with day-to-day site operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the installation of underfloor heating systems on residential and commercial projects.
Loading, unloading and organising materials and equipment.
Preparing work areas before installation.
Measuring and laying insulation, pipework and fixing systems.
Assisting with screed floor milling for retrofit underfloor heating installations.
Completing digital records and installation documentation using electronic forms, including client handover records and quality assurance checks.
Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe.
Always following site health and safety procedures.
Travelling to sites across Essex, London, Kent, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
Learning installation techniques from experienced team members.

Full in-house training will be provided.

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Willingness to travel to different sites.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.

Desirable:

An interest in plumbing, heating or the construction industry.
Previous site or labouring experience (not essential).

This role is designed as the first step towards becoming a fully trained Underfloor Heating Installer.

You'll receive hands-on training from experienced installers, gaining practical knowledge and skills with opportunities to progress as your experience grows.
