Location - Support Office, WN8 9TN

37.5 hours worked per week

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee the company's growing payroll operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, and managing payroll data within our payroll system and accounting software systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong analysis skills and experience in managing a payroll function to contribute to the organisation’s efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Duties

Manage end-to-end payroll processing using the internal payroll system
Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, deductions, benefits, and other payroll information.
Oversee accounts payable processes related to payroll, including tax deductions and statutory contributions.
Reconcile payroll reports and prepare detailed analysis to identify discrepancies or errors.
Maintain compliance with employment legislation, tax regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate with Human Resources to update employee records and manage changes in employment status.
Generate payroll reports for management review and audit purposes.
Assist in the optimisation of payroll workflows and recommend improvements for efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in education payroll management or a similar role would be beneficial
Proficiency with HRIS systems or similar platforms would be beneficial
Experience with data entry, accounts payable processes, and payroll reconciliation.
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
Familiarity with human resources practices and employment legislation is highly desirable.

This role requires a professional who is meticulous, proactive, and capable of managing sensitive information confidentially while ensuring compliance across all payroll functions.

Pay: From £38,000.00 per year
