Full job description

We’re looking for a proactive, organised and numerically confident person to join our growing shutters and blinds business.

This is a varied role covering customer service, sales administration, accounts and operational support. You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and business owners and be involved across the day-to-day running of the business.

Key responsibilities:

Answer customer calls, emails and queries and proactively keep customers updated
Create quotations, follow them up and speak confidently with customers to help convert quotes into orders
Develop good product knowledge to advise customers on our shutters and blinds
Process supplier invoices, raise customer invoices, chase payments and maintain accurate accounts using Xero
Produce simple financial and operational reporting
Maintain accurate information within our CRM and follow established SOPs
Help resolve customer and operational problems and support the Operations Manager
Be flexible and willing to get involved wherever required in a growing small business

You’ll need:

Previous Xero experience
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
Good Excel and Word skills
Experience using CRM systems
Confident telephone and customer-service skills
A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 FTE depending on experience
Hours: Full-time or school hours considered (e.g. 9:30am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday)

There is a genuine opportunity to grow with the business and take on greater responsibility over time.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

Experience:

Xero & Excel: 1 year (preferred)
Operations: 2 years (preferred)
