Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organised Part-Time Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to a welcoming environment for our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, handling administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone looking to work part-time hours in a professional healthcare setting.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling efficiently
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming
Support the dental team with various clerical duties as required

Requirements

Previous office or administrative experience is preferred
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or similar programmes
Prior experience in a healthcare or dental setting is a plus but not essential
Ability to work part-time hours, including some evenings or weekends if required
