Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team on a permanent part time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creating innovative dishes. As a Chef, you will support the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your people skills will be essential in supporting the kitchen operations efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen in the head chefs absence.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Implement cost control measures to optimise food production efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef in a cafe/restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.
