Help Drive the Success of Our Steel Fabrication Projects
At Worsdale Fabrication Ltd, we're growing.
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of our steel fabrication, structural steelwork, cladding and installation projects.
As a Tier 2 contractor working within the nuclear and major infrastructure supply chain, we deliver projects for major contractors where quality, reliability, communication and strong client relationships really matter.
This is an important role within our business. You'll work closely with our workshop, site and management teams, as well as our clients and project partners, helping to ensure projects run smoothly from initial award through to completion.
If you're an experienced Project Manager who enjoys being involved, solving problems, building strong relationships and seeing a project through from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you.
About Us
Worsdale Fabrication Ltd is a family-run steel fabrication company based in Somerton, Somerset.
We work across a wide range of sectors, delivering high-quality steelwork, fabrication and associated works for nuclear, commercial, agricultural, industrial and specialist projects.
Quality, reliability and customer service are at the heart of everything we do. We have built our business on long-term relationships with our clients and continue to invest in our people, equipment and capabilities as the business grows.
The Role
As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing projects from initial award through to successful completion.
Our work covers steel fabrication, structural steelwork, cladding and site installation, so the role offers plenty of variety and requires someone who is comfortable coordinating work across the workshop and site.
You'll work closely with our fabrication workshop, procurement and site teams to coordinate the various stages of each project, while maintaining regular communication with clients and project partners.
You'll be expected to take ownership of your projects, keep things moving and identify potential problems before they become bigger ones.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two projects are exactly the same.
Responsibilities
- Managing steel fabrication, structural steelwork, cladding and installation projects from award through to completion
- Developing and maintaining project programmes and monitoring progress
- Managing project budgets, costs and resources

- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to specification and to programme
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
- Working closely with the workshop and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Identifying opportunities for further work and communicating these to management
- Supporting and developing less experienced members of the project management team
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and enjoys taking responsibility.
You'll ideally have experience managing steel fabrication, structural steelwork, cladding or construction projects, and be comfortable coordinating multiple teams and dealing directly with clients.
Ideally you'll have:
- Proven experience in project management within steel fabrication, structural steelwork, cladding or construction
- Experience managing fabrication, installation, subcontractors and suppliers
- Strong organisational and programme management skills
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs

- Confidence dealing with clients and project stakeholders
- Good attention to detail

Experience in cladding would be particularly welcome, as would experience across both fabrication and site installation.
Experience of working within nuclear, major infrastructure, Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting environments would also be an advantage.
However, we're interested in candidates with strong relevant project management experience who can demonstrate the skills, professionalism and commercial awareness required for the role.
