Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling the culinary team to focus on creating delicious dishes that delight our guests. Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, including washing vegetables, peeling, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cleaning work surfaces regularly
Support the organization of storage areas by rotating stock and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly to prevent spoilage
Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold health and safety standards
Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and stored properly after use
Assist with setting up dining areas or service stations as needed for meal service
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a hygienic environment at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Strong understanding of hygiene standards and safety procedures in a culinary setting
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
