2 x SUPPORT WORKER

South Hub, Netherton

36 hours per week

£24,695.13 - £27,445.34 per annum (Pay Award Pending)

Sefton’s leading care provider, New Directions, is now recruiting for a Support Worker in South Hub, Netherton. As a business we pride ourselves on delivering high quality social care and support to vulnerable groups within the Sefton area.

Our South Hub is a day service which supports adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and associated mental health needs.

Situated at the heart of Netherton, on Dunnings Bridge Road, it is proud of its extensive grounds with an attractive garden and growing area.

We aim to provide a caring and friendly environment and enable the people who attend our service to keep physically active and stimulated by social interaction and activities centred around individual interests and aspirations

The successful candidate will participate in the day-to-day delivery of a range of services for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism or associated mental health conditions; working with service users in a person centred way to promote greater choice, skill development, independence and inclusion. The post holder will work in a variety of community-based settings, including day service activities.

The role includes:

Supporting person-centred day activities
Promoting independence, choice, and inclusion
Driving service users and supporting community access
Supporting swimming sessions and holistic therapies
Assisting with personal care and daily needs
Administering and recording medication
Develop and review care plans and risk assessments

About you:

Caring, reliable, and a good team player
Confident supporting activities and community engagement
Willing to undertake training (full training provided)
Good knowledge of I.T skills
Experience of working with vulnerable people is essential.
A Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent is also essential.

An Enhanced DBS Check is required.
