Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a receptionist who is highly motivated, dynamic and proactive to join our team on a 6 month temporary contract.

Experience of working within a General Practice environment is desirable but not essential.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your office experience and develop your skills within a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will be friendly, efficient, and proficient in various computer programmes, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Greet patients in a courteous and professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Manage appointment scheduling and signpost patients to relevant services.
Handle data entry tasks accurately, maintaining up-to-date patient medical records
Assist with administrative duties such as scanning, filing and processing documents.
Maintain a tidy and organised reception and admin area at all times.
Support other administrative staff as required to ensure efficient office operations.

Qualifications

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with SystmOne would be advantageous but not essential.
Excellent typing speed and data entry skills with high accuracy levels.
Demonstrated phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
