About SL Cooling Ltd

SL Cooling Ltd provides professional refrigeration and air-conditioning services to commercial and residential customers across London and the South East. Our services include air-conditioning installation, maintenance and repair, refrigeration services, cold room and cellar cooling systems, and associated HVAC solutions.

As the business continues to develop, we are looking for a commercially focused Business Development & Sales Accounts Manager to support our growth, develop new business opportunities and manage relationships with existing and prospective commercial customers.

The Role

The Business Development & Sales Accounts Manager will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, developing customer accounts and supporting the continued growth of SL Cooling Ltd.

The successful candidate will work closely with the company's management and technical teams to develop new client relationships, increase service and maintenance contract opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development and sales strategies to support company growth.
Identify and approach prospective commercial customers requiring refrigeration, air-conditioning and HVAC services.
Develop relationships with businesses, property managers, facilities management companies, landlords and other potential commercial clients.
Manage and develop existing customer accounts, identifying opportunities for additional services and long-term maintenance contracts.
Research potential markets, customers and business opportunities across London and the South East.
Manage the sales pipeline from initial enquiry through quotation, negotiation and account development.
Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and service presentations in collaboration with the company's technical team.
Negotiate commercial terms and support the conversion of enquiries into new contracts and ongoing customer accounts.
Maintain regular contact with key customers and ensure strong long-term business relationships.
Monitor customer requirements, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business growth.
Maintain accurate customer, sales and business development records using the company's CRM and administrative systems.
Produce regular reports on sales activity, prospective clients, account performance and business development opportunities.
Work with engineers and operational staff to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and delivered.
Support the development and promotion of SL Cooling's refrigeration, air-conditioning, maintenance and commercial service offerings.
Represent the company professionally when meeting customers, suppliers and business partners.

Person Specification

A degree or equivalent qualification in business, management, marketing, sales or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience.
Good understanding of business development, B2B sales and customer account management.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to develop professional relationships with commercial clients and decision-makers.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and business opportunities.
Confidence in preparing business proposals, quotations and presentations.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM or customer management systems.
Ability to analyse sales opportunities and contribute to commercial growth strategies.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and technical teams.
Previous experience within HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning, facilities management, construction or technical services would be advantageous but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to occasional travel to customer locations.
