Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team and drive the future of logistics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate state-of-the-art commercial vehicles, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. As a vital part of our transportation network, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence. Duties

Safely operate HGV Class 1 trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at designated locations
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
Secure loads properly, especially when handling flatbed cargo, to prevent damage during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and compliance records in line with legal requirements
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road
Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, demonstrating a proactive team approach

Skills

Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on flatbed loads and delivery operations
Strong knowledge of driving regulations for HGV vehicles and safety procedures
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV Class 1 license
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds and managing cargo safely
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude towards safety and service quality
Familiarity with delivery driver best practices and route planning strategies
