Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Provide chairside support to ensure patient comfort and care throughout treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirming patient visits and follow-up appointments as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and work areas to uphold infection control standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance throughout their visit.

Skills

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling software.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and the dental team effectively.
A caring attitude towards patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
Proficiency in English is essential for clear communication with patients and colleagues.
