Business Development Manager & Office Administrator

Salary: £32,000 per annum + commission
Employment Type: Full-time

Working Arrangement: Office-based initially, with the opportunity to move gradually into hybrid / work-from-home working once established

Role Overview

T7 Industries Ltd is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager & Office Administrator.

The role combines lead generation, business development, client management, invoicing and general office administration.

The main focus will be to generate new opportunities, build client relationships and help keep the day-to-day running of the business organised.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

Generate new sales leads and business opportunities.
Research and contact potential clients.
Make outbound calls and send targeted emails.
Identify key decision-makers within target companies.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Follow up leads, quotations and previous enquiries.
Arrange meetings and introductions with prospective clients.
Build long-term client relationships and repeat business.
Identify upcoming projects, tenders and contract opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of leads, clients and follow-up activity.
Assist with quotations, proposals and company information.

Office Administration

Manage company emails and general enquiries.
Maintain organised client, supplier and company records.
Organise meetings, appointments and follow-up actions.
Manage timesheets, job records and project documentation.
Maintain compliance and certification records where required.
Support the Managing Director with general business administration.
Keep company systems and databases accurate and up to date.

Invoicing & Accounts Administration

Prepare and issue customer invoices.
Check timesheets and supporting information before invoicing.
Monitor outstanding invoices and payment due dates.
Follow up overdue payments where required.
Process supplier invoices and organise receipts and expenses.
Maintain accurate records in Xero or other accounting software.
Assist with bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, VAT records and CIS administration where applicable.
Liaise with the company accountant or bookkeeper when required.

Commission

In addition to the £32,000 basic salary, the role will include a performance-related commission structure linked to profitable new business generated.

Working Arrangement

The role will initially be office-based to allow the successful candidate to understand the company, its clients, systems and processes.

Once fully established and performing effectively, the position can gradually move towards hybrid working, including working from home for part of the week.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience in business development, sales, account management or office administration.
Be confident generating leads and contacting new clients.
Be comfortable making outbound calls.
Have strong organisation and communication skills.
Be confident using Outlook, Word and Excel.
Be willing to learn Xero and CRM systems.
Be self-motivated, professional and commercially aware.
Be able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Desirable Experience

Experience within electrical, engineering, construction, data centres, M&E contracting or B2B sales would be advantageous.
