Front of House Manager

The Social Dough Company is looking for a reliable, friendly and highly organised Front of House Manager to join our growing team.

What started as a two-person operation serving our local community has grown into a team of 25+ people across multiple sites. Our focus is simple: exceptional pizza, brilliant service and neighbourhood restaurants people want to come back to.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for strong hospitality leaders who want to grow with us. This role offers genuine progression into more senior management positions within the business.

The Role

As Front of House Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day FOH operation and lead the team through busy services.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be on the floor, leading from the front, supporting the team and making sure every guest receives a great experience.

You’ll be responsible for service standards, team performance, rota coordination, cleanliness and the overall smooth running of each shift.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead FOH shifts and take ownership of service from start to finish.
Deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
Lead by example in attitude, work ethic and hospitality.
Manage bookings, walk-ins and table flow to maximise covers.
Communicate closely with the kitchen to keep service running smoothly.
Handle customer complaints confidently and professionally.
Coach the team on upselling and improving the guest experience.
Train and onboard new FOH team members.
Monitor team performance and address issues promptly.
Prepare and manage FOH rotas, including shift cover and last-minute changes.
Maintain high standards across the restaurant, bar, toilets and all guest-facing areas.
Ensure opening, closing and cleaning checklists are completed correctly.
Maintain atmosphere standards including music, lighting and restaurant presentation.
Uphold food safety, health & safety and company procedures.
Take responsibility for the care of FOH equipment, furniture, tableware and POS systems.
Identify damaged or faulty equipment and ensure issues are reported quickly.
Assist with stock control and ordering.
Help introduce new systems and ensure the team adopts them properly.
Identify opportunities to improve the operation and feed ideas back to senior management.

You’ll ideally have experience working in a busy hospitality environment and be comfortable taking responsibility for a team and a shift.
