Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking highly competent Kitchen Porter / Trainee Chef to join our dynamic culinary team.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for supporting our team of Chefs on a daily basis.

As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily cleaning, food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation are maintained.

This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary career within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Manage the kitchen pot wash area and clean all equipment as required in the preparation and production of our food products.
Support kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
Prepare produce and fresh ingredients in line with established recipes and presentation standards.
Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience within a professional kitchen setting.
Extensive background in fresh food production, culinary arts, and food preparation.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments.
Previous restaurant experience is required, with knowledge of serving standards advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
