Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Electro Mechanical Assembler and become a vital contributor to the creation of innovative electrical and mechanical products. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex components and systems with precision, ensuring each unit meets our high standards for quality and performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving. Whether you're passionate about electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, or both, this role provides a platform to develop your skills and grow professionally. Training will be provided as required.

Duties

Assemble eletro-mchanical components and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions and SMT specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, standard operating procedures and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate assembly.
Kitting to a BOM when required.
Perform inspection and testing of assemblies to ensure compliance and quality requirements.
Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or process issues in line with quality procedures.
Maintain and clean and organised work area in line with ESD and health & safety standards
Ensure all work is completed within specified timescales and targets
Follow company procedures for traceability, documentation and process control.
Support continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, efficiency and waste reduction.
Safely using hand/power tools, precision instruments and test equipment.
Undertake repetive tasks requiring sustained concentration, including working in seated or standing positions for extend periods, in accordance with role and workstation requirements

Experience

We welcome applications from both experienced candidates and those looking to begin or develop a career within SMT technology. Previous experience is valued, but equally important is a genuine interest in technology, a practical mindset, and a willingness to learn and develop.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within a busy, fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, engineering or working with complex electro-mechanical systems would be an advantage, but is not essential, as training and development will be provided.
A practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technical skills.
An interest in developing a career within SMT technology and advanced manufacturing.
