Company Description

Join us at Greene King pubs, where we have always been the beacon for communities, wherever people want to come together. Our collection of community pubs are the heart and soul of the local area around them, helmed by a local hero and crewed by a team always ready with your favourite tipple. Our pubs embody the true meaning of a local pub, acting as a central hub where locals can enjoy one of our events, a feast of lovingly cooked food or a quick catch up with friends over a drink.

Job Description

We're looking for new people to join our welcoming and experienced team here at the Governor's House ready for a busy summer. Our large pub has a restaurant, 10 hotel rooms, and a 200 cover garden, in leafy Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester.

We are looking for staff to work floor and bar duties, on a part-time basis.

Experience is preferred but not essential as training is provided, but:

you must be over 18 to be able to serve behind the bar,
availability to work evenings and weekends, up to closing time, is essential (0.00 Sun-Thurs, 01.00 Fri & Sat)
you must be able to get to/from work, including at evenings and weekends. (public transport is limited)

Qualifications

You must be reliable, punctual, and diligent, ready to get stuck in and be a team player.

As a member of our Bar & Waiting Staff, you will…

Provide exceptional and memorable customer service, so our customers always leave with a smile on their face;
Be knowledgeable behind the bar, offering recommendations to customers, and helping support stock management through your behaviours;
Prepare and present drinks that meet specifications and customer expectations.
Assist in greeting, serving food and looking after our customers whilst they dine with us;
Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.
