Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Dispensing Optician, where your expertise will directly enhance our patients' vision and confidence! In this vital role, you will combine technical skill with exceptional customer service to help clients select the perfect eyewear solutions. Your knowledge of anatomy and laboratory processes will ensure precise fittings and high-quality lens customization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant optical practice dedicated to improving lives through clear vision and stylish eyewear.

Duties

Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their style, face shape, and lifestyle needs
Conduct thorough eye measurements, including pupillary distance and frame fitting assessments
Dispense and fit spectacles accurately, ensuring comfort, proper alignment, and optimal vision correction
Provide expert advice on lens options, coatings, and maintenance to enhance durability and performance
Collaborate with laboratory technicians to ensure precise lens fabrication and quality control
Maintain detailed patient records, including prescriptions, measurements, and dispensing notes
Educate patients on proper eyewear care and adjustment techniques for long-lasting satisfaction

Skills

Proven laboratory experience with lens fitting, edging, and mounting techniques
Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to the eye and visual system
Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly and confidently
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding service
Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and recommend suitable eyewear solutions
