Neighbourhood Group Worker

Early Help Service – Education and Children’s Services
Location: Preston and Chorley
Salary: £25,989 – £28,142
Grade: 5

About You…

Engaging & Supportive – You’ll deliver group work programmes that empower families and improve outcomes for children.
Creative & Collaborative – You’ll design and deliver activities that tackle barriers to family progression and build resilience.
Empathetic & Flexible – You’ll bring patience, understanding, and adaptability to meet the needs of families in diverse settings.

What You’ll Do…

Deliver group work sessions and drop-in support for children, parents, and families.
Develop and deliver programmes focused on health, wellbeing, parenting, and relationships.
Build positive, respectful relationships with families and create safe spaces for learning and growth.
Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding standards are upheld.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Level 2 qualification or substantial experience in a relevant field.
Strong interpersonal and group work skills.
Knowledge of issues affecting children and families.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
