Job Overview

We are seeking a professional HGV Drivers to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. The ideal applicant will possess a valid HGV licence, with experience in Supermarket store deliverie, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate chilled trailers and HGVmercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely collection and distribution of goods.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of goods during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules or delays.
Adhere to all legal requirements related to driving hours, tachograph regulations, and road safety standards.
Assist with general vehicle maintenance and reporting any defects or issues promptly.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in Supermarket delivery roles.
Valid HGV licence and CPC.
Prior experience in driving large vehicles such as lorries or trucks is essential.
Familiarity with road safety regulations, tachograph rules, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Experience in handling pallets securely and efficiently loading/unloading goods is preferred.
