Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate One to One Support Worker to provide personalised assistance to a loving 2 year old with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the child requiring tailored support, fostering their development and ensuring their safety within our nursery. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference. The position is suitable for individuals passionate about supporting children’s growth and learning.

Duties

Deliver personalised support to child with diverse needs.
Assist with daily activities such as communication, mobility, personal care
Implement tailored programmes based on individualised education plans (IEPs) or care plans.
Support during educational activities, play sessions, and social interactions to promote inclusion and engagement.
Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages independence and confidence.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of activities, progress notes, and observations.

Qualifications

Experience working with children with additional needs would be desirable
Prior experience in teaching/ nursery or special education settings is advantageous.
Knowledge of working with children across various age groups, including toddlers.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of all abilities and backgrounds.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's development.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education or child development are preferred but not essential.

This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills within the field of special needs support while making a positive impact on the lives of children requiring tailored assistance. This job is subject to the child being funded and will be for the duration the child is with us only.

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per year
