Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager – Join Our Family‑Run Team

We’re looking for an experienced, hands‑on Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager to help lead our busy, welcoming venue set among the beautiful Cornish countryside. As a family‑run business, we pride ourselves on exceptional service, a friendly atmosphere, and memorable experiences for every guest — from relaxed lunches to weddings and corporate events.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Bar & Restaurant Manager and senior team to ensure smooth operations across all areas. You’ll lead by example, support staff, maintain high service standards, and help drive the continued growth of our venue.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with day‑to‑day bar and restaurant operations
Supervising and supporting front‑of‑house staff
Ensuring excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
Helping manage bookings, events, and special occasions
Maintaining compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
Supporting stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Contributing to menu ideas, promotions, and seasonal activities
Stepping into management duties when required

Experience in bar or restaurant supervision/management
Strong communication and leadership skills
A positive, proactive, and professional attitude
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Confidence handling customer enquiries and resolving issues
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
