Full job description

JOB TITLE: Security Officer- PT

LOCATION: St Albans

PAY RATE: £13.85 per hour

HOURS: Friday and Saturday nights 22.00-05.00 (£13.85)

THE ROLE:

To provide security presence and prevent unauthorised access. You will be expected to undertake identification of breaches of Railway Bylaws, criminal activities, security incidents and attend/deal with incidents in line with training and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a high level of observation, identifying hazards, crimes, and security risks.
Conduct frequent foot patrols.
Provide a clearly identifiable and visible security presence
Update daily log and activity sheets.
Deal with security, crime, and safeguarding incidents.
Enforce the Railway Bylaws and other relevant legislation.
Complete detailed incidents reports.
Maintain excellent communication with client and other officers.
Deter and detect crime.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Must be physically fit as the role involves a lot of walking.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a current SIA DS Licence.
Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
