Installation Manager – Bespoke Kitchens & Furniture

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Installation Manager to take ownership of the successful installation of our bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, media walls, boot rooms and other furniture installations in clients' homes.

This is a key role within the business. You will be responsible for making sure every installation is well planned, professionally managed and completed to the highest standard, while ensuring our clients have an exceptional experience from the moment our team arrives at their home through to final handover.

You will lead our installation team, working closely with the design, project management and production teams to ensure every project is ready for installation and delivered smoothly.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a proven track record of fitting high-end bespoke furniture, enjoys working with people and has a natural ability to organise, solve problems and get the best from a team.

Key Responsibilities

Take overall ownership of the installation process from production handover through to final completion. This is a hands-on fitting role.
Plan and coordinate installation schedules, ensuring the right people, tools, furniture components and other resources are available at the right time.
Lead, support and develop the installation team, creating a positive, professional and accountable working environment.
Ensure all installations are completed to our exacting standards of craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail.
Work closely with the production team to ensure furniture is complete, checked and ready before it leaves the workshop.
Review drawings, specifications and installation requirements ahead of site visits, identifying potential issues before they become problems.
Coordinate with clients and other trades on site, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the installation.
Deal confidently with unexpected challenges and resolve problems quickly and professionally.
Manage snagging and ensure all outstanding works are completed promptly and to the required standard.
Carry out quality checks and ensure installations are signed off to the appropriate standard.
Monitor installation performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and customer experience.
Ensure the installation team maintains excellent standards of cleanliness, care and professionalism within clients' homes.
Ensure all installation work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant health and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate records of installation progress, issues and completion.
Work with the wider team to continually improve the handover between design, production and installation.

About You

You will ideally have significant experience in bespoke kitchen, furniture or high-end joinery installation, together with experience of managing or leading an installation team.

You'll be someone who:

Has a strong understanding of bespoke joinery and furniture installation.
Takes genuine pride in delivering a high-quality finished product.
Is highly organised and comfortable managing large installations and multiple tasks.
Is a confident problem solver who stays calm when things don't go to plan.
Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues and trades.
Can lead, motivate and train a team with a good balance of support, encouragement and accountability.
Has high standards and isn't afraid to challenge poor workmanship.
Understands the importance of preparation and attention to detail.
Takes health and safety seriously.
Enjoys improving processes and finding better ways of working.
Understands that working in someone's home requires care, respect and professionalism.
Is physically fit and capable of safely lifting, carrying and manoeuvring furniture, appliances and other components during installations.

Desirable Experience

Experience installing bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture or architectural joinery.
Experience managing an installation team.
Experience working in high-end residential properties.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and installation details.
Experience coordinating with production, designers, project managers, builders and other trades.
Experience with installation scheduling or project management.

This isn't simply a role for someone who can organise a diary and send installers to site. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of the entire installation experience.
