Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Motor Vehicle Technician and become a vital part of maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the optimal performance of a wide range of vehicles. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with diagnostic tools, mechanical systems, and various equipment to deliver top-quality service. You will play a key role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and operating at peak efficiency while providing excellent customer service.

We are a busy used car dealership with an immediate opening for an NVQ Level 3 Technician. This role involves vehicle sales preparation and repair. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 0900-1730. Overtime is available, as is the opportunity to use the workspace to complete repairs outside of the shift pattern, provided no business interruption.

Duties

Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical or electrical faults.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts accurately following technical specifications and safety standards.
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify vehicle structures.
Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and service history for each vehicle.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Motor Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role.
Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Prior experience up to NVQ Level 3 with maintenance routines, equipment repair, and general automotive servicing is Mandatory.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
