Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate has to be experienced operating a range of conventional and CNC machining equipment and be confident working to high standards of accuracy and quality.

Candidates must be competent and experienced with the following:

Manual & CNC Lathes
Milling Machines
Drilling Machines
Slotting Machines
Giddings & Lewis Union Horizontal CNC Borers
Vertical Machining Centres (VMC)
XYZ Machines
Webster CNC Machines
Webster Manual Machines
RLX Lathes

Key Responsibilities:

Setting and operating a variety of machining equipment
Producing precision components to drawing specifications
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Carrying out quality checks using inspection equipment
Working with a range of materials and machining requirements
Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience in a machine shop environment
Strong knowledge of CNC and manual machining processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience with one-off and small batch precision engineering preferred
Location: Old Deer, Mintlaw AB42 5LJ

Pay: £35,000.00-£43,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
