Full job description

Senior Office Administrator

Location: Bridgend
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Office Administrator to join a new busy recycling and production site based in Bridgend.

This is a varied, hands-on administration role working within a fast-paced production and transport office. You will provide key administrative support to the Site Manager and Shift Managers, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site.

The role involves working closely with drivers, recycling operatives, transport companies and customers, as well as managing a significant amount of compliance and operational paperwork.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Site Manager and Shift Manager
Completing and maintaining site, transport and compliance documentation
Processing paperwork relating to drivers, vehicles, loads and recycling operations
Liaising with drivers, recycling operatives and transport companies
Dealing with customer enquiries and providing a professional point of contact
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is completed correctly and on time
Extensive use of Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting and maintaining operational information
Supporting staff administration and maintaining relevant personnel records
Assisting with general site and production administration
Ensuring compliance paperwork is accurate, organised and readily available
Supporting the wider team with any additional administrative requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, confident and able to work effectively in a busy operational environment.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in a senior administration, transport, production, logistics, waste or recycling environment
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when dealing with compliance documentation
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
Confidence dealing with drivers, operational staff, customers and external transport companies
The ability to prioritise a varied workload and work to deadlines
A practical, proactive approach to problem solving
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a busy site team

Experience within recycling, waste management, transport, logistics, manufacturing or a similar production environment would be particularly beneficial.
