Sales & Service Manager

Ready to take ownership of a department and make it your own?

We are a long-established, family-run swimming pool company with a reputation for high-quality workmanship, honest advice and exceptional customer care.

Our existing swimming pool customer base continues to grow, and we're looking for a proactive, commercially minded Sales & Service Manager to take full ownership of our service and maintenance department and help us develop it further.

This isn't simply a customer service or scheduling role.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running and commercial success of the department — coordinating engineers, looking after customers, preparing and following up quotations, organising parts and equipment, and making sure every job progresses smoothly from initial enquiry through to completion.

You'll have the autonomy to improve how the department operates and play an important part in its future growth.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the central point of contact for our existing swimming pool customers and take responsibility for:

Managing all service, maintenance, repair and refurbishment enquiries
Planning and coordinating the daily and weekly schedules for our service engineers
Building strong relationships with customers and keeping them informed throughout their job
Preparing quotations for servicing, repairs, replacement equipment and refurbishment works
Proactively following up quotations and converting opportunities into confirmed work
Ordering parts, materials and equipment
Coordinating suppliers and managing lead times
Monitoring jobs from initial enquiry through to completion
Ensuring engineers have the information and equipment they need
Maintaining accurate customer, job and CRM records
Supporting job costing and ensuring completed work is ready for invoicing
Identifying opportunities for additional work within our existing customer base
Improving systems and processes to make the department more efficient and profitable
Helping us grow our recurring servicing and maintenance business

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes ownership.

You'll need to be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing lots of moving parts at the same time.

You'll enjoy speaking with customers, solving problems and making sure things actually get done.

You'll ideally be someone who:

Has excellent organisational and communication skills
Is confident dealing with customers by telephone and email
Can manage schedules and changing priorities
Is commercially minded and comfortable preparing and following up quotations
Has strong attention to detail
Is confident making decisions and taking responsibility
Enjoys improving processes rather than simply following them
Is comfortable using CRM, scheduling and business management systems
Can work independently while building strong relationships with engineers and the wider team
Remains calm and solutions-focused when unexpected problems arise

Experience within the swimming pool or hot tub industry would be advantageous, but we would also be interested in candidates from plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical, facilities management or other field-service businesses.
