Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an organised and proactive Works Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating works to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.

We are working on behalf of the major energy suppliers installing and replacing electrical fuse upgrades within customers properties, our job is to ensure these customers enjoy a first-class customer service experience, from the initial contact, technical surveys through to the final works to be carried out.

VOCON Energy Ltd is a newly established engineering business specialising in the installation of smart meters, industrial / commercial meters, electrical fuse upgrades and the provision of gas safe engineers to the utility sector. Our management team has over 40 years’ experience within the industry, having worked their way up from being meter fitters themselves. We have now taken the opportunity to establish our new company with a real focus on our customers and delivering a first-class service in the regions we serve.

This is a great opportunity to join our innovative and fast-growing business with operating depots, located in Sheffield, J34 M1 and Derby / Nottingham located at J26 M1, with fantastic opportunities for growth and development within a thriving company across various locations.

The Role – (Key aspects of the job will involve):

Coordinate and schedule daily work activities for engineers.
Build and prepare job packs for field engineers, ensuring all required documentation and information is included.
Carry out post-visit checks to ensure accurate data capture.
Act as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams.
Monitor job progress and ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate records, job logs and documentation.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly.

The Person (The successful candidate will have the following personal attributes):

Previous experience in a coordination, scheduling or administrative role.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Comfortable working with a small team and prepared to support in other areas across the business.
Proactive / think on your feet.
Able to manage and prioritise multiple duties.

Desirable Skills

Background in Planning, scheduling or civils would be advantageous.

Location: Sheffield - S9 5PH – Darnall, Sheffield J34

Hours 37.5Hrs - Operating Window (8.30am – 4.30pm)

Salary: £24,785 to £27,000 – Subject to experience
